In conjunction with co-counsel, David helped to develop a new area of digital privacy law with respect to unauthorized tracking of users’ web browsing. Representative cases against Facebook, Inc., Google Inc., and Carrier IQ, Inc. are still pending, and assert federal statutory claims and state common law claims. MIT’s Technology Review magazine noted in the summer of 2012 that David Straite is “something of a pioneer” in this effort.
